Renovations and refurbishments. Fix the fabric. Then make it beautiful.

Whole-house renovations and deep refurbishments that deal with the boring things first: insulation, damp, wiring, heating. The finish lasts because the building underneath works.

  • Fabric-first design, honest scoping
  • Our own electricians and heating engineers
  • Changes priced in writing before work continues

The order of work matters

Renovations go wrong when decoration leads and the building follows. We survey the fabric, wiring and heating first, agree what actually needs doing, then sequence the work so nothing beautiful gets ripped out to fix something structural.

Older homes, treated properly

Peterborough and the surrounding towns are full of Victorian terraces, 1930s semis and post-war houses that deserve better than a quick flip. Solid walls, original features and awkward floor levels need judgement, not a standard package. We tell you what we would do if it were our house.

Energy performance built in

A renovation is the cheapest moment you will ever have to improve insulation, prepare for a heat pump or add solar, because the disruption is already paid for. We design those options in from the start and you choose what to take. See designing with energy in mind.

Common questions

Both. A single-floor refurbishment, a kitchen and utility reconfiguration, or a whole-house renovation with the fabric brought up to standard. The consultation establishes scope honestly, including what is not worth doing.
That is our preference. Insulation, airtightness, ventilation and heating are designed together before decoration is discussed. If the boiler is due for replacement, a renovation is the natural moment to consider a heat pump; the Heat & Cool team handles that side under the same roof.
Sometimes, and we price for honesty about it. The quote states what has been inspected and what has been assumed, and any change is priced in writing before work continues. No verbal extras, no invoice surprises.

Not sure whether to renovate or extend? Ask us; the consultation is free and there is no obligation to proceed.
