Extensions. More home, designed to cost less to run.

Kitchen extensions, side returns, wraparounds and two-storey additions across Peterborough and the surrounding area. Designed fabric first, built by one in-house team, and finished with the certificates in your hand.

  • Fixed written quote before you commit
  • Structure and energy designed together
  • Planning and building regulations handled

Designed around how you will use it

An extension is a daily-life project: where the light falls at breakfast, where the sofa goes, whether the kitchen stays usable while we build. The design consultation starts with how you live, then we engineer the structure, services and thermal performance around it.

Fabric first, then heating

New rooms fail when they are cold in January and stuffy in July. We design the insulation and airtightness of the new fabric first, then size the heating for the whole altered house rather than bolting a radiator onto an overworked boiler circuit. If you are considering a heat pump, an extension is the ideal moment to prepare for one.

One team, no finger pointing

Groundworks, structure, our own NICEIC-approved electricians, our own heating and renewables engineers, then decoration and handover. One contract, one point of accountability, one number to call.

Common questions

Not always. Many single-storey extensions fall within permitted development rights, with limits on depth, height and position. We advise honestly at the consultation and handle the application when one is needed. Our guide to planning permission for extensions covers the rules in plain English.
It depends on size, structure and planning. We give you a written programme with your quote and keep it updated through the build. Our guide to extension timelines explains each stage.
Yes, and it is the whole point of using us. The energy team is in-house, so emitters, cylinder space, roof structure and cable routes are designed in from the first drawing. See extending with energy in mind.
