Six stages, written down, from the first visit to the day you get the certificates. You should know exactly what happens next at every point of a build, including what you pay and when.
Consultation to keys, in the open
Timescales are ranges because honest programmes depend on scope, planning and weather. Your written programme arrives with your quote and is kept current through the build.
Consultation. We visit, listen and give you an honest read on feasibility and budget. Free, and there is no obligation. If the project is not right, we say so at this stage.
Design and planning. Measured survey, design development and the planning application if one is needed. The statutory target for deciding most householder applications is eight weeks. Fixed written quote. A quote against a written specification: what is included, what is assumed, what is excluded. The price is fixed against that scope; any change is priced in writing before work proceeds.
Build, with staged payments. Being confirmed The build runs to a written programme with payments tied to completed stages you can see. Your stage structure and deposit protection arrangement are agreed in your contract before the project starts.
Certification as we go. Electrical work is certified by our NICEIC-approved electricians, building control inspects at the required points, and nothing gets covered up before it has been signed off.
Handover and aftercare. Being confirmed Walkthrough, demonstrations, and a handover pack with drawings and every certificate. Your defects liability and warranty terms are stated in your contract.
