About Lifecycle. Engineers first, builders and installers second.

Lifecycle Development Ltd is the Peterborough engineering company behind Lifecycle Homes. We grew from industrial electrical and mechanical contracting into home energy, and now into building work itself. The same heritage runs through both: designed properly, wired properly, certified properly.

Our story

From industrial engineering to home energy

Lifecycle Development was registered in 2017 and built its reputation on demanding engineering work: industrial MEP solutions from 11kV supply to BMS controls, test and development facilities including battery test cells, and electrical and mechanical contracting for the construction industry.

Why that matters for your home

The same engineers who deliver industrial projects design and install our solar, heat pump, air conditioning and EV charging systems. Load calculations, electrical design and commissioning are second nature, not an afterthought.

The whole job, in-house

Our NICEIC-approved electricians, F-Gas certified engineers and MCS registered installers work as one team. One point of accountability from survey to certificate, and we train you on your system at handover.

Now we build as well as power

The newest division applies the same standards to extensions and renovations: fabric-first design, our own electricians and heating engineers on site, and every project built to The Lifecycle Spec, our published standard specification.

Where we work

Based in Peterborough, working everywhere within around 50 miles including Cambridgeshire and the East Midlands. See our solar, heat pump, air conditioning and EV charging services, or the construction division.

About us, answered

Lifecycle Development Ltd is a Peterborough-based engineering company, registered in England and Wales in 2017 (company number 10920425). Trading as Lifecycle Homes, it runs two divisions for homeowners: Heat and Cool for solar, heat pumps, air conditioning and EV charging, and Construction for extensions and renovations. Behind both sits the same team, delivering electrical, mechanical and renewable energy projects across industrial, commercial and residential sectors.
We are MCS registered, a NICEIC Approved Contractor, REFCOM F-Gas certified, an SMAS Worksafe Contractor and a Mitsubishi Electric accredited installer, with ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 accreditation.
Yes. The construction division delivers extensions, renovations and refurbishments across Peterborough and the surrounding area, designed fabric first and built to our published standard, The Lifecycle Spec. Because the energy team is in-house, heat pumps, solar and EV charging are designed in from the first drawing.
Our own NICEIC-approved electricians, F-Gas certified engineers and MCS registered installers deliver the whole project in-house: design, electrical work, installation, commissioning and certification.
